LineGard™ Portable GFCIs (20A and 30A Series) are state-of-the-art safety devices designed to operate in the most demanding, wet, and hazardous environments, providing ground fault protection for a wide range of industrial, construction, and OEM applications.
Robust Construction and Superior Protection Ratings
Built to last, LineGard™ devices are constructed from impact-resistant materials that withstand chemical degradation and UV exposure, ensuring a long service life in harsh conditions. Unmatched Environmental Protection: The 1Ø and 3Ø portable series boasts industry-leading protection ratings: TYPE 4X (resistant to corrosion, dust, and water jets) and IP69K (resistant to high-pressure and high-temperature water jets), making them ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications and severe washdown environments. Multi-phase applications meet TYPE 4X and 6P ratings.
Regulatory Compliance and Security
Both series comply with rigorous electrical safety standards to ensure the safe use of temporary and portable power in the workplace:
- OSHA Standards: Integrated power cords comply with OSHA standards for the use of portable and temporary power in confined spaces (OSHA 29 CFR 1926.404(b)(1)(ii) and 29 CFR 1926.405(b)(1)(ii)(G) or 29 CFR 1926.405(a)(2)(ii)(G) for 30A).
- Electrical Codes (NEC): Meet the requirements of NEC 590.6 (a) and (b), and the 20 A model additionally meets the requirements for OEM devices per NEC 422.5 and NEC 210.8.
- Certifications: All models are listed by UL and cUL according to UL 943 and are assembled in the USA in ISO certified facilities.
Safety and Performance Features
The design focuses on operator safety and operational reliability:
- LED Indicators: Incorporate green and red LEDs for a clear and instantaneous indication of power status and fault.
- Protection Against Accidental Activation: They feature test/reset buttons or recessed interface switches with double insulation, preventing accidental activation or reset during rough handling.
- Contact Reliability: The electrical contacts feature electromagnetic interlocking to prevent false trips and unlocking under demanding operating or maintenance conditions.
Reset Options (30 A Series): The 30 A Series offers the convenience of being available with both automatic and manual reset options (safe boot).
