Its primary function is to centralize the control of lockout keys, ensuring that power remains isolated until all operators have completed their tasks. With a capacity for 12 padlocks, it is manufactured from high-strength materials, selected for their ability to withstand harsh environmental conditions.

Some models include a transparent polycarbonate window, which allows visual inspection of the retained keys.
