Sealing Tech-G's 1/8" (3.2 mm) EPDM Sheet is a high-performance synthetic elastomer made from ethylene propylene diene monomer. Recognized for its high resistance to degradation from ozone, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, and weathering, this sheet maintains its physical properties within an operating temperature range of -40 °C to 120 °C. Its molecular composition provides excellent elasticity and low compression set, allowing it to efficiently recover its original shape after deformation. The 1/8" thickness offers an optimal balance between flexibility and mechanical robustness, making it one of the most common measurements used in the manufacture of industrial gaskets and seals. Sold by the foot.
Applications
- Manufacture of sealing gaskets for flanges, covers, and industrial equipment
- Seals and diaphragms in potable water systems, process water, and irrigation systems
- Insulation and protection in outdoor applications (roofs, coverings, channels)
- Gaskets for low-pressure steam and hot water systems
- Seals in chemical equipment exposed to acids, alkalis, alcohols, and ketones
- Manufacturing of custom gaskets for industrial maintenance and MRO
- Electrical applications: insulation and protection of UV-exposed components
