The AIGNEP 5/2-Way 1/4" BSPP Bistable Pneumatically Operated Valve is a directional valve from the 01V Series, operated by a compressed air signal (pneumatic pilot) in a bistable configuration, which maintains its last switching position without needing a continuous signal, acting as a pneumatic memory. Unlike the monostable version (01VP050003, spring return), this bistable valve requires a second pneumatic pilot signal to change position, ensuring that the actuator remains in its current position if the signal is lost. It is compatible with standard 01V Series manifold mounting. It features an anodized aluminum body, nickel-plated spool, and NBR seals. It operates up to 10 bar. Made in Italy by AIGNEP.

Bistable vs. Monostable Pneumatic — When to Use Each?

• Bistable pneumatic (this valve): Maintains position without continuous signal. Requires a pneumatic pulse at each end to change state. Ideal when the actuator must remain in position upon signal loss.
• Monostable pneumatic (01VP050003): Returns to original position by spring action when the pilot signal ceases. Ideal when a safe return to the resting position is required in case of failure.
